Camp Raukawa is an ideal venue for a whole range of activities. It is used for school camps, community and church groups, leadership and business retreats, or even as a wedding venue!
Camp Raukawa has a range of accommodation options with both catered or self-catering options. There are also a large selection of programme activities available which can be tailored to your group’s age, abilities and goals. We have qualified instructors in outdoor education, and our activity options include archery, high & low ropes, climbing walls, kayaking, bush walks, education and nature study. When you venture through our gates you get the sense of the challenge and excitement that awaits.

Camp is located 60 kms north of Whanganui and 30 kms south of Raetihi on the Parapara Highway (SH4), in the tranquil 40-acre rural environment of Raukawa Falls.

Camp Raukawa will provide you with a “boutique” programme designed to meet your organisational needs and align with your core values. We can create a programme for primary / secondary schools from Years 1 to Years 13. . From bush-craft, team building and adventure activities to Primary Industry and Environmental studies, we create options only limited by your imagination!

All adventurous activity contains an element of risk, both physical and mental.  Camp Raukawa has endeavoured to recognise and mitigate risks for each activity. Each activity at Camp Raukawa has a Standard Operating Procedure and is managed through our YMCA Code of Practice for the Outdoors which takes into account applicable industry standards. You will be actively encouraged to participate in this process and will be fully briefed during the booking of your camp of your obligations.
